2007 GRAND RAPIDS WATER FESTIVAL:
The program alternates between a group playing a set of music, and a speaker talking for 10-15 minutes about a water issue and how people can get involved. There will be eight speakers. Lots of area organizations will have educational and “call to action” materials.
This is a family-oriented event with lots of kids’ activities -- folk and bluegrass music with no alcohol available.

Believing in the intrinsic and historical power of music to raise both community and self-awareness, the Earthwork Music Collective serves to facilitate and encourage the creation, production, and promotion of original music in the state of Michigan and beyond.
Through networking and mutual support in the production and distribution of original music, the Collective cultivates a community of artists without muting the individual’s creative voice.
We all live downstream. Healthy communities and healthy local economies require healthy, functioning ecosystems. Now and for the future. To secure clean, safe and affordable drinking water for present and future generations, we must protect and conserve land and water resources today.
